Southeast Fiber Forum Association, Inc.

                                                           SFFA Scholarship Application

The Southeast Fiber Forum Association, Inc. was established to foster cooperation among individuals and organized groups in the Fiber Arts in the Southeast region and to encourage creativity and excellence of craftsmanship in the Fiber Arts.

To that end, SFFA is offering a Scholarship program to promote further knowledge of the textile arts, including, but not limited to, those relating to handspinning, dyeing and weaving.

In 2011 Southeast Fiber Forum “Over the Mountain” was the initial scholarship endeavor. As the SFFA Board feels this was a successful program, we are once again offering this for Fiber Forum 2013.

The Southeast Fiber Educators Association  (SEFEA) has agreed to again help with the nomination process as we search for 10 persons to assist our workshop instructors at Arrowmont for 2013 Fiber Forum. These young students who are pursuing careers in Fiber Arts will get a “ hands on” experience working, assisting and observing what makes up a Regional Fiber Conference. Scholarship will include room and board, tuition and Fiber Forum membership.
